Her grandchildren were very important to her. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo at Fortune Bay. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gathering wild rice. In her early years she was an avid outdoorswoman. She owned and operated the Iron Ore Bar in Tower up until her death. They lived in Gheen, and since 1953 had resided in Tower. Marjorie was united in marriage to Claude J. Bea’s life was filled with love for her family. She enjoyed walking, reading, embroidery and music but found the most joy in her daily conversations with her children and siblings. Bea went on to attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth where she received her teaching degree. She moved to Bemidji and taught first grade at Central Elementary School.
